So there are so many things I am looking forward to, most of them being in August. This Saturday my family and I will be going up to Hershey Park in Pennsylvania. Since we aren't going on vacation like we usually do, my mom got 6 tickets for Hershey so that'll be our little vacation! I'm bringing one of my best friends along and my brother will be bringing a friend of his as well. Last time I was there was for a marching band competition, of which we won first in! But it was only for a competition. The last time I was ACTUALLY there was about 9 years ago or so. So I'm really excited to go!
In August the first thing I am waiting for is my visit from Dave. I dedicated an entire post to him if you don't know who he is. And I really cannot wait for that! I dream about that day almost every chance I get. It's going to be amazing, scary, life changing, emotional, just about everything. My life will probably change, and I think that's the part that's a little scary considering how young I am. But when you're in love, you have to take chances and be brave. Do things you never imagined you would do.
The second thing I am excited for is band camp! Believe it or not, band camp is one of the most fun things to be at even though I'm at my school all day working on my mallet skills. But I love to preform and we always sound great. My school's marching band is one of the best programs we have. We are so much better than the football team. They ALWAYS lose. We usually win. But the show music this year is harder and it's gonna be much more fun. There's four mallet techniques that I have to master and crazy runs everywhere. It's really exciting.
Out of everything I can't wait for, I am not looking forward to the last day of band camp. It has nothing to do with band camp really, except I'll be there instead of with my family. On the 27th, my brother will be the first person in the history of my family to ever go to college, so it's a really big deal. My parents are going to move in day to help move him in and say their final goodbye's but I have to be at band camp and cannot enjoy that family moment with them. I'm pretty upset my band director won't let me miss that day to go with my family, but we are performing for the other parents that day, and since I'm in the pit, they need me there. Our pit is only 3 people. So I understand his reasons, but I wish that I could go. My brother and I are very close and I will miss him terribly, so I guess I'll have to say goodbye the day before. I won't get to see him very much once he goes. He'll be 2 and a half hours away with no car. I'll guess we'll talk on the phone or vid chat or something.
Anyway, I feel very hot. There's no air conditioning on downstairs so I'm almost sweating. So I think I'm gonna end this here and probably go up to my room where the air conditioning isn't off. Goodnight world!
